這幾天的補丁可以說是特別多啊，除了Office之外，Windows 7自然也不例外，不過為一款Beta版系統發布補丁，可見微軟嚴謹的作風。此更新主要針對Windows 7 Beta Build 7000上預裝的IE 8 pre-RTW版本。不過微軟同時確認Windows XP SP3和Vista SP1不受此漏洞影響。根據本月14日發布的微軟安全公告，此補丁標記為MS09-014。

微軟并未明確公布MS09-014補丁修復的漏洞數量，但根據慣例，微軟只會對非正式版中的安全漏洞進行修復。微軟還透露，除了被標記為“危急”等級的補丁之外，微軟不會為Beta版的Windows 7發布其他任何更新。

同時，Windows Vista SP2 和Windows Server 2008 SP2中的IE也在此影響之列，微軟也發布了相應補丁。

注：這里的SP2指Vista/Server 2008 SP2 RC
